Wedding Coordinator, a Flexible Role
A wedding is always going to be a major feat of planning and these days, even a relatively simple wedding can get out of hand and end up costing thousands. It is easy to get hooked up the latest fads and trying to have whatever you see on television. Well, if you are going down that route, why go the whole hog and employ a wedding consultant.
It may not seem logical to add another expense to the list, but have you considered that it could save you money in the long run? Her contacts in the businesses that you will need to deal with will allow her to get you better deals than you would be able to. She will be giving them a lot of business and they won't want to lose that.
As a minimum, she can prepare a timeline and a checklist so that you know when to start planning and when to contact the companes you require. And a really good wedding consultant will be able to come up with something that you are happy with and is on budget.
Whether you are creative but not organized or you just don’t have any ideas, your consultant can help you. Her creative input can be invaluable, but what about the mundane stuff, the details? When you start to list the things that need to be attended to in putting a wedding together, it can be quite overwhelming.
If your budget allows, you can leave the whole thing to your wedding planner. She can use her checklist to make sure that everything has been accounted for and your opinion sought, and then you can leave it to her. Nothing will be left out and it will all be initiated at the right time so that it all works out on the day.
However, the scope of the wedding planning service is flexible, with the level of involvement being reflected in the cost. Obviously it would be very nice to hand it all over to someone else and relieve yourself of the stress, but that would be the most expensive option. The couple can agree with the planner what her level of involvement will be.
You might want to take a more hands on approach to some aspects of the planning. Maybe you have contacts in the catering industry and can to arrange that for yourself. You may be capable of doing most of the practical organization and just use your consultant for creative ideas, choosing a theme, planning decoration etc.
As a minimum, she can prepare a timeline and a checklist so that you know when to start planning and when to contact the companes you require. Just this much input could prove invaluable in making your wedding day memorable for all the right reasons.
